My father was a caring generous man. He was always there for me during difficult times. He was also responsible for helping hundreds of other people. I often think of the fun times we had with family and friends. I will miss him so much.

According to his wishes, Dad was cremated. He made his last journey from Venice Florida to Palatine Illinois the weekend of May 13th accompanied by his wife Carol and son Jeff. Once there, they were met by his daughter Laura, son in law Steve, grandson Derek and granddaughter Andrea.

  • Donna Richards Reininga says:

Dennis was one of the finest men that I have ever met. He was kind, generous, ethical, considerate, and never had a bad word to say about anyone. I can not count the times he has helped me in one way or another. He was a truly gentle soul, caring for all creatures around him, four legged as well as human.

I have so many memories, especially his patience in time after time, helping me park that big motor home in the small space. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him to help with.

Godspeed Dennis, you are missed by so many of us.

Loving and missing you Uncle Dennis! I have fond memories of you growing up…always with a smile, joke, and a laugh. You always made me feel noticed and special as a child. Through my adult years you not only held a special place in my heart, but also in Bill’s and our girls…showing us much love, caring, and kindness. It was always fun to come and visit and spend time with you guys here in Florida. I will cherish those times and memories! I am glad we could be there with you and our family in faith and love before and during your final days. You are a true blessing and will be remembered with joy until we are together again! Thank you for all the memories, smiles, laughter, kindness, thoughtfulness, and joy you have brought to my life and the life of my family!
