A Memorial Visitation for Donald E. Chiovare, 81, will be held on Saturday, May 27 at 9:30 A.M. until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Family catholic Church 2515 W. Palatine Rd. Inverness. The Interment will be held privately at a later date.
Donald, Inverness resident of 34 years, and a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, passed away on May 8, 2023, surrounded by his family. Don was born on April 3, 1942, in Chicago to Earl and Mary (nee LoPresti).
Don was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 54 years, Pat (nee Maloney). Beloved father of Devin and Christopher. Dear brother of Diane Reyes (Joseph), Cherished uncle to many loving nieces and nephews, fond cousin and good friend to many.
Don worked in printing all his life, he was a print buyer for Arthur Andersen and retired after many years. Then worked for Argent Mortgage for a few years.
Don’s greatest joy in life was to be surrounded by family and friends and he so enjoyed tackling big household projects.
Don touched the lives of many family, friends and kind neighbors who will all miss him.
Our family would like to say thank you to Transitions Hospice, Comfort Keepers and the medical staffs at Northwest Community hospital and North Chicago Veterans Administration.

I was so saddened to hear of Don’s passing. My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to you all. 💔
Don was a great person. I never saw him without a smile on his face or without a joke to tell during his days at Continental Towers with Argent. We enjoyed his visits to the engineering shop where was always talking about his next project. Don will truly be missed.
So many great memories with my cousin. Life between Schiller and Blackhawk streets was a blessing for all who lived there. Ron LoPresti.
