A Memorial Visitation for Jenifer A. Pritchard (Jeni), 32, of Chicago, Illinois, will be held on February 4, 2023, at 1:00pm at First United Methodist Church, 123 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm. An Inurnment will be held privately, at a later date.
Jeni passed away January 22, 2023 after a short, battle with acute pancreatitis. She was a 2008 graduate of Fremd High School in Palatine.
Jeni’s first passion in life was photography, inspiring her to enroll at Columbia College, Chicago where she was awarded a B.A. degree in Photography in May of 2012. She later earned her paralegal certificate from DePaul University and began a career in the legal field. She most recently was employed as a paralegal at Locke Lord LLP, Chicago.
Jeni was a sweet, kind, funny young lady, who loved spending time with her friends and family. Jeni loved traveling and spending time at the beach. She was a passionate vegan and animal lover. She loved her little dog, Marley, with all her heart. She was generous with her time as well, donating time on mission trips to Haiti and coordinating pet adoptions at Alive Rescue, Chicago.
Like so many of us, Jeni’s life was not free of hardships, but how she channeled these experiences made her truly special. Jeni became a strong advocate and raised awareness for Depression, Anxiety, Domestic Violence, and was a champion for Women’s rights.
She will truly be missed.
Jenifer is survived by her parents, James and Amy Pritchard (Palatine); her brother, Charles Pritchard (Miami) and her grandmother, Marjorie Pritchard (North Aurora).
In Lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated to Alive Rescue, Chicago, an animal rescue shelter or To Write Love on Her Arms, an organization helping people with addiction and depression issues.

To the Pritchard family, please accept my condolences on the loss of Jeni. I am heartbroken for you. I am a work colleague in Locke Lord’s Boston office. Although we never met in person, I did get the chance to work with Jeni in the short time she was with the firm and was impressed by her positive spirit and willingness to learn new things. She will be missed here.
