Visitation for Alexander Mackenzie “Mac” Williams, 22, recently of Escondido, CA, formerly of Palatine, will be held, Sunday July 27, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, also at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, Palatine.  The Interment will follow in Randhill Park Cemetery, Arlington Heights.Mac was born September 30, 1991 at Northwest Community Hospital  in Arlington Heights, and he passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, July 20, 2014 in Del Mar, California.  He was a graduate of Fremd High school where he was an avid member of Fremd’s Auto Club.  He also played trumpet in the school band.  In addition to his love of the White Sox, Mac had a passion for working on cars and could frequently be seen in town driving his beloved two tone cream and tan 1980 Camero.  At the time of his death he had recently been promoted to front desk supervisor for L’Auberge Del Mar Luxury Hotel near San Diego, California, where he utilized his charismatic personality, mirthful smile and service orientation to maximum effect. Survivors include his parents, Deborah Johnston Williams and Scott (Catherine) Williams; sisters, Brianna and Christine Williams; his grandmothers, Eleanor (late Gordon) Williams and Daphne (late Harold) Johnston; Aunts and Uncles, Michele (Robert) Agee, Faye (Larry) Chessell, Ken (Gwen) Johnston, Bonnie (Roman) Junyk, Nancy Johnston; Step Brother and Sisters William Froelich, Meghan (Brian) Zator, Kathleen (James) Conner, Bridget Froelich, special girl friend Wendy Rodriguez, and many loving cousins. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials and donations be made to: The Mac Williams Memorial Scholarship fund benefiting the Fremd Auto Club.  Donations should be made out to “District 211 Foundation in memory of Mac Williams”, 1750 S Roselle Rd, Palatine, IL 60067 Attn: Becky Rolf or to the San Diego Humane Society SPCA in memory of Mac Williams.  Donations can be made on line at www.sdhumane.org.  Under Tribute Gifts.
