Alfred D’Andrea

Visitation for Alfred D’Andrea will be held Friday, May 18, 2018, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Rd, Lake Zurich, from 4:00p.m. to 9:00p.m., with Rosary to be said at 7:00 p.m.  The Visitation will continue Saturday, May 19, 2018, also at the funeral home, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Prayers, 10:00a.m. proceeding to St. Pius V Shrine, 30 Miller Rd, Hawthorn Woods, Mass at 10:30 a.m.  An Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, 33100 North Hunt Club, Libertyville, IL, 60048.

Al was born July 9, 1928 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Rose D’Andrea.  He passed away, peacefully at home, on May 15, 2018.

Al was a hard-working man that loved nothing more than being surrounded by his enormous family.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Catherine (Mickey) D’Andrea (nee Ripley).  Al is also survived by his children Bob (Amy) D’Andrea, Marie (Dan) Meyers, Don (Vicki) D’Andrea, Bill (Marge) D’Andrea, Rich (Wendy) Adamczyk-D’Andrea, Sue (Brian) Johannsen, and Dan D’Andrea.  He is further survived by 31 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, brother, Bill (Joan) D’Andrea of San Diego, California, and his favorite dog, Riley.
