Alice A. Meersman

Visitation for Alice Ann Cecelia Meersman (nee Brunst), 90, of Palatine for 66 years, will be held Sunday March 15, 2015 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  Prayers will be said Monday, March 16, 2015, 9:30 a.m., at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, Palatine, and then proceeding to St. Theresa Catholic Church, 455 N. Benton Street, Palatine, for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass.  An Interment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Alice was born (and raised) April 23, 1924 in Park Ridge, IL to the late Carl and Esther (nee Pallman) Brunst; and she passed away, surrounded by her family, Thursday, March 12, 2015 at home.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Alan Meersman; the loving mother of Alana (Richard) Ashbrook, Michael (Ann) Meersman, Charles (Lisa) Meersman and Greg (Karen) Meersman, and the loving sister of Esther Dabbert and the late Marion Sussin.  She will be dearly missed by her 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, and one on the way.  She was an aunt and great-aunt to many.

She had a special place in her heart for all animals.  She had an infectious smile and a sweet disposition.
