Andrew M. Mullen

A Memorial Mass for Andrew M. Mullen, Jr., 70, of Palatine since 1962, will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 27, 2017 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 455 N. Benton St., Palatine.  Visitation will be held prior to the Funeral Mass, 9:00 AM also at the church.

Andrew was born in Chester, PA on January 26, 1947, the son of Helen and Andrew Mullen, Sr.  He passed away, surrounded by his family, on November 17, 2017.

Andrew was a graduate of Palatine High School.  He obtained a degree in Commercial Art Design from the Chicago Art Institute.  Andrew served in the U.S. Army & the National Security Agency.  After his military service, he worked as an engineer for Western Electric & AT&T until his retirement.  Andrew enjoyed being with his family & friends, as well as wildlife.  He enjoyed telling stories of military adventures, and having lively political discussions.

Andrew was the loving husband of Mary Mullen, whom he married on November 22, 1969.  He is also survived by his daughters, Kristine Mullen and Jennifer (Steven) Kalter.  Additionally by, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Andrew was escorted to heaven by his parents and his brother, Robert.
