Barbara A. Petykowski

A Memorial Visitation for Barbara A. Petykowski, 78, of Palatine, will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Services, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  A Memorial Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 455 N. Benton Street, Palatine.  The Interment will be held privately.

Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends from Spunky Dunkers, The CNCC Corvette Club, and many other friends.  She loved angels and roses and you could see them throughout her home and yard.  She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Joseph H.; her children Joseph D. (Julie), Daniel (Cristela), and James; her grandchildren, Alison Schlote (Troy), Nicole Hensley (Nicholas), Sean Petykowski (Lizzie), Jonathan Petykowski (Nicole), Aaron Petykowski, Nathaniel Gates-Petykowski, Alexander Gates-Petykowski; her great-grandchildren, Caleb Hensley and Aiden Hensley, and dear relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Betty (Mauck) Vistain; father, Francis C. Vistain; and brother, Frank C. Vistain Jr.
