Barbara A. Smith

A Funeral Mass for Barbara A. Smith, 87, of Lake Zurich, will be held Friday, December 31, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.  A Private Interment will follow at Fairfield Cemetery, Lake Zurich.

Barbara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; known to all as “Grammie”. She passed on Christmas Day which was a beautiful tribute to her spirit of giving to her beloved family; both with delicious food and special gifts. She will live on in the lives of those she touched and will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 68 years, Donald Smith; her 6 children Sue (Scott) Jordan, Margie (Rosemary Marlatt) Smith, Cathy (Dave) Moenning, Joan (Jim) Weinrauch, Laurie (Jeanne Grimes) Smith and Tony (Nicole) Smith; her 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren: Katie (Todd) and their children Cooper, Parker and Reese; Kris (Mara), Kelly (Julian), Amy (Casey) and their children Colin and Claire; Donald (Grace) and their son James; Samantha, Steve (Natalie) and their soon to be baby boy W; Jaclyn (Mike) and their children Vivie and William; Matt (Thaisa), Danielle (George), Jack, Luke, Brady and Alyssa.
