Barry J. Marshall

A Memorial Visitation for Barry J. Marshall, 84, of Palatine since 1973, will be held Friday, July 6, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service, 11:00 a.m. at St. Colette Catholic Church, 3900 Meadow Drive, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008.

Barry was born June 30, 1933 in Chicago, and he passed away June 20, 2018 at home in Palatine surrounded by his family.

Beloved husband of Geraldine Marshall (nee Mysliwiec); loving father of Jocelyn (Lance) Olson, Craig Marshall and Alissa (Matt) Roberts; loving grandfather of Meghan Olson, Sarah Olson, Emily Roberts and Joseph Roberts; dear son of the late Barry Marshall and late Louise Marshall; fond brother of Randy (Duffy) Marshall.

Barry worked for IBM for over 25 years and left to work for Bell Atlantic.  He retired from Fidelitone. He was an avid fisherman and golfer; and he enjoyed tennis and gardening.  His passion was painting, and he attended the academy of fine arts.  

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Heartland Hospice, 2100 Sanders Road, suite 100, Northbrook, IL 60062-6199, or a favorite animal shelter.
