Bernard J. Miraglia, Jr.

Visitation for Bernard J. Miraglia Jr., 81, of Palatine, will be from 4:00 PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 7:00 PM on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy, Palatine. The Interment will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, IL.

Bernard J. Miraglia Jr. (“Bernie”, “Young Bernard”) a cherished father, grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on May 17, 1943, in Chicago to Bernard J. Sr. and Mary L. Miraglia, he leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a strong work ethic that will forever be remembered by all who knew him.

Bernie was a dedicated leader in the Finance and Insurance field for many years, where he was respected for his skill, tenacity and charm. Outside of work, he found immense joy in spending time with his family and friends.

Above all, Bernie was a devoted family man, who always prioritized his children and grandchildren. He was a source of wisdom and support to his grandchildren, who will deeply miss his playful spirt and dinners together.

Bernie is survived by his children: Michael Miraglia, James (the late Meredith) Miraglia and Jennifer (Christopher Tex) Miraglia; cherished grandchildren Brandon, Dylan, Ryan, Gina, Evan and Jessica; and his dear friend Sherry Grobe. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Diana and Marguerite; and his former wife and mother of his children, Donna Alletto.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Center of Concern, Des Plaines, IL or St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
