Bernice M. Skach

Visitation for Bernice M. Skach, 90, formerly of Palatine, will be from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 28, 2021 also at the funeral home. The Interment will follow at Windridge Cemetery, Cary.

Bernice was born on November 7, 1930 to Richard and Gertrude Fuchs.  She passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights.

Bernice was a devote Christian.  Music was very important to Bernice, from teaching piano to singing in the church choir.  She was very eccentric and social.

Bernice was the beloved wife of the late, Eugene Skach.  She is survived by her sons, Alan Skach, David (Julie) Skach, and Peter Skach; grandson, Jordan (Bianca) Havens; great-grandsons, Gabe, Tyler, Seth, Jadon, and Rune; sisters, Charlotte (the late George) Mally, and Dorothy Mende; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Arthur Fuchs.
