Betty A. Smith

Visitation for Betty A. Smith, 60, a resident of Lake Zurich since 1989, will be held on Sunday, May 8, 2016 from 3:00PM until 8:00PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.  Services will begin with prayers at 10:30AM on Monday, May 9, 2016 also at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, for the Funeral Mass at 11:00AM.  The Interment will be private.

Betty was born on February 14, 1956 in LaCrosse, WI the daughter of the late Harold and Magdalene (nee Pedretti) Jambois and passed away unexpectedly, late on Wednesday evening May 4, 2016.

Betty was a nurse and had been working for the Little Sisters of the Poor at the St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, in Palatine.  

Survived by her loving husband of 34 years Kenneth G. Smith; her treasured sons Andy (Eleana Gochis) Smith and Rob Smith; Betty was eagerly anticipating the arrival of  her first grandchild Zoey Agapi Smith in June;  her siblings Bob (Chris) Jambois, Judy Jambois, Jane (Gary) Weis, Marykay (Chuck) Haas,  Kathy (Larry) Nash and Nancy (Mike) Hurley; also surviving are many nieces and nephews; preceded in death by a sister Patricia and a brother David Jambois.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Betty, would be appreciated for Little Sisters of the Poor, C/O St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, IL 60067
