Betty D. Bakus

Visitation for Betty Davis Bakus, 93, of Palatine, will be from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Funeral Services will commence at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 6, 2018, also at the funeral home. The Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL

Betty was born on September 15, 1924 in Hazard, Nebraska to Elisha and Isa Davis. She passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at home.

Betty was a registered nurse who served in the US Cadet Nurse Corps during WW2. In 2012, she self-published a children’s book.

Betty was the beloved wife of the late John Bakus, who passed away on October 31, 1977. She is survived by her children, Miriam (Matthew) Gallagher and Robert Bakus; granddaughter, Megan Santoyo; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
