Bonita A. Smith

Visitation for Bonita “Bonnie” Ann Smith, age 71, will be held from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Friday, July 9, 2021 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.   The Funeral Service will take place. also at the funeral home, on Saturday at 11:00 am.  A private Interment will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine at a later date.

She passed away in her home on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, with her family by her side after a long battle with cancer.  She was amazingly strong and never gave up fighting.  Through her, we truly know what strength is.  She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She was our rock, the glue that held everyone together.  Her children and her family meant everything to her.

Bonnie raised four children as a single mother, instilling the importance of family and was extremely proud of the children she raised.

Bonnie is survived by her brother Ronald (Helga) Smith: her children Dawn (Pedro) Maldonado, Terry Neally, Angela Matney, Robert (Rachel) Neally; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, her niece, nephews and bonus daughters Veronica Paugel, Kathy Clayman and TinaSzymanski.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Zella Smith, brother and sister in law, Dennis and Linda Smith.
