Brenda L. Darling

Visitation for Brenda L. Darling (nee Brenner), 75, of Huntley, formerly of Palatine, will be held Monday, April 16, 2018 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  Prayers will begin Tuesday, April 17, 2018, 9:30 a.m. also at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, proceeding to St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Dr., Palatine, for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. An Entombment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Brenda was born in Chicago June 10, 1942 and passed away, surrounded by her family, April 12, 2018 in Barrington.

Beloved wife of the late Carl B. Darling Jr; loving mother of Steven Darling, Bob (Cheryl) Darling, Lynn (Steve) Doody, Todd Darling, Philip (Linda) Guido, Scott (Melody) Darling, Michael (Halina) Guido, Gregory (Laura) Guido, Amy Guido, Carl B. (Cynthia) Darling III and Cindy Darling-Dalton ; loving grandmother of Jackie (David), Matthew, Jon, Andy, Kira, Marissa, Dawn, Patrick (Danielle), Andrew, Denise, Gina, Lauren, Sarah, Scotty, Ryan, Preston, Dalton, Bladen and Jimmy (Pauline) ; loving great-grandmother of Melana, Mikayla, Michael, Benjamin, Abigail, Scarlett, Jameson, Bella, Logan, Brooklyn and Weston; dear daughter of the late Louis and Amy (Nee Dier) Brenner; dear grandmother of the late Wesley and Bobby.

In Brenda’s life she was a Waitress at Uncle Andy’s Cow Palace, proud owner of the Darling Shop which she cut and color many Friends and Relatives hair, and worked many years at the Palatine Post Office where she retired.

Brenda was always seen going out with friends and exploring new experiences while driving her VW Bug with the famous “Eyelashes”.

Her family and friends will truly miss her but she will be remembered by the passion she had of seeing her large family and friends together.
