Brian J. Ibbotson

My beloved husband, Brian John Ibbotson passed away Sunday April 30, 2017 after suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease.  A private celebration of life is being arranged.

He was born November 4, 1931 in Sheffield England and was invited to emigrate to Chicago by Amsted Industries International in 1968.  He became President of the International Division and retired in 1996.

We were married in England in 1961, and have two children; daughter Sally (Dave) Wolff and son Bill (Beth); grandchildren Alex, Sarah, Julian and Maria.

Brian’s hobbies were FAMILY, gardening, travel, tennis, walking, trains and cars.  He was a 25 year volunteer of the Chicago Botanical Gardens.

Brian was always considered by all to be an English Gentleman.
