Briggs B. Blackburn

A Memorial Visitation for , 64, of Oakwood Hills will be from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.  A Celebration of Life will follow, 7:00 pm at Duke’s Alehouse & Kitchen, 110 N. Main Street, Crystal Lake, IL.

He was born on November 30, 1950 in Evanston, IL and passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Good Shepherd Hospital.

Briggs was an Army veteran serving in Vietnam, and graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1977.

He was the beloved husband of Melanie “Mel”; father of Audra (Kellen) Horney and Stacy (Craig) Zwolak; brother of Alison Blackburn and Kris (Jeffrey) Ryan and preceded in death by his parents Warren and Joan Blackburn.
