Carin E. Ulrich

Visitation for Carin Elizabeth Ulrich (nee Rose), 54, of Palatine since 1981, will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  The Visitation will continue Wednesday morning; where she will lie In State from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service, 12:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 200 N. Plum Grove Rd., Palatine, IL 60067.  The Reverend Tom Acton will officiate.  The Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Palatine.

Carin was called home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 7, 2015.  Beloved wife of John; loving mother of Matthew, John “Johnnie”, Elizabeth “Cookie” (Joe) Robinson, Maggie, and Kim; endearing grandmother to Kelsey, Ethan, Annabelle and Calista; dear daughter of Dorothy (nee Syslo) and the late Robert K. Rose; cherished sister of Robert, Cathy (Michael) Murray and Corrine (Mark) Johnson; wonderful aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Carin attended Regina Dominican High School in Wilmette and later completed her Bachelors Degree in Psychology.  She was a corporate manager for McDonalds prior to working for Palatine School District 15 Transportation.  She served as president for the transportation union for the district.

Carin found her greatest joy in caring for her family.  She took great pride in hosting family gatherings, supporting her children’s endeavors, and always ensured her family was safe, happy, and healthy.  She was the best mom ever.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Carin Ulrich Memorial Fund, (Matthew Ulrich’s college fund) C/O Immanuel Lutheran Church, 200 N. Plum Grove Rd., Palatine, IL 60067.
