Carl Ahlstedt

Services and Interment for Carl Ahlstedt, 86, a resident of Palatine since 1966, will be private.

Born on May 3, 1929 in Waukegan, IL the son of the late Carl and Mary Elizabeth (nee Thomas) Ahlstedt, Sr. and passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015.

Carl worked for many years in the steel industry for Finkle and Sons, retiring at the age of 50 in 1978.  He then went on to work as a courier for Glenbrook South School District retiring in 1993.  Carl was also a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

He is the beloved husband of the late Carol (nee Lemke) Ahlstedt; loving father of David and Bill (Carrie) Ahlstedt; dear grandfather of J.C. Ahlstedt and Lauren Ahlstedt.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Carl, would be appreciated for the First United Methodist Church of Palatine, 123 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine, IL 60067.
