Carol A. Buckely

A Memorial Gathering for Carol A. Buckely, 58, of Lake Zurich, will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 4:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service, 7:00 PM at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.

Carol was born on June 5, 1957 in Chicago, IL to the late Raymond and Clementina (nee Stallings) Szymanski.  She passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2015 in Barrington, surrounded by her family.

She graduated from Maine West high school in 1975 and attended Willow Creek Church with her family.  Carol worked for Hospice of Northeastern Illinois (now JourneyCare) before working for BMO Harris Bank in Barrington.  After joining Harris Bank, she continued to volunteer with JourneyCare as a Camp Courage counselor and supporting fundraising activities.  She enjoyed gardening, traveling, crocheting and spending time with family and friends.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She will be missed and never forgotten.

Carol is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Buckely, whom she married on August 13, 1977.  Also surviving are her loving sons, Christopher and Scott (Elaine); her dear granddaughter, Serena; fond sisters, Janice Moran, Linda Grether, Gail Ussery, and Betty Sullivan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
