Carol Ann Swienton

Visitation for Carol Ann Swienton, 85, of Palatine will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 1:00 pm until time of service at 3:30 pm at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy, Palatine, Illinois. Private burial at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.

Carol was born on August 3, 1938, in Chicago. She passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, in Lake in the Hills, Illinois. 

Carol was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, son Mark, and sister Delores Kusiak. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Mildred Martinec. Carol was also preceded in death by son Mike Clemetsen.

Carol is survived by daughter Michele (Kirk) Dissen, son Michael (Margot) Swienton, and grandson Max (Kailey) Swienton. 

Carol worked in the import/export industry for many years. After retirement, she devoted countless volunteer hours to USA Swimming & Diving, traveling the country attending meets and conventions. She was a huge supporter of her children’s sports endeavors. She is best remembered for her love of animals, especially Dachshunds. She and her husband Ken rescued Dachshunds from all over the Midwest for decades.

Carol is also survived by her two grandpuppies Millie & Wrigley.
