Carroll L. Denison

Memorial Services for Carroll L. Denison, 82, a resident of Palatine since 1968, will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2016 beginning at 3:00PM with Memorial Visitation following the service until 5:30PM at the DeerGrove Covenant Church, 225 E. Helen Road, Palatine, IL 60067.  The Interment will be private.

Carroll was born on December 29, 1933 in Sturgis, SD the daughter of the late Melville and Alice (nee Kendall) Gerlach and passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at her home.

Carroll will be remembered as having a great spirit and love of life.  Some hobbies of hers included a love of reading, doing crossword puzzles and appreciating nature, especially when visiting the Chicago Botanical Gardens.  Most important in Carroll’s life was the time she shared with her loving family and friends.  She will be deeply missed by all.

Loving mother of Calvin (Joanne) Denison, Cathleen (Dean) Arvanitis and Sandra (Charlie) Soria; cherished grandmother of Sean, Brendan, Matthew and Melissa Denison, Nick and Kristin Arvanitis; fond sister of Gail (late Joseph) Rowett; also survived by many nieces and nephews; preceded in death by her husband and 3 brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Carroll, would be appreciated for DeerGrove Covenant Church or to the Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe, IL 60022.
