Catherine J. Malone

A Visitation for Catherine J. Malone (nee Fertitta), 72, of Hoffman Estates, will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service, 12:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. The Interment will be private.

Cathy was born June 19, 1946 and passed away at home Friday, April 26, 2019. She left this world surrounded by her loving family.

Cathy is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ray, and 3 sons, Chris Frantz (Michelle), Nick Frantz (Val), and Ryan Malone (Janine); grandchildren, Ashley, Megan, Hope, Niko, Rocco and Gus; siblings, Phil Fertitta (Fran), Angie Gergen (Bruce), Rosie Crandall (Richard Sr.) and dear friend Donna Evers (Glen).

Cathy loved her boys unconditionally and absolutely adored her grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces, and nephews that loved her dearly and she loved all of them back 10 times!

Cathy was a fantastic cook and so proud of her Sicilian heritage. Mom’s homemade meals are just one of the countless things we will miss. There are no words that can express how much we will all miss her. We all love her so much! This life will never be the same without her.
