Cathleen (Cathy) was born on April 18, 1972, in Oak Park, IL. From the beginning Cathy bravely faced medical challenges, having had a thyroid deficiency since birth. Cathy never let this medical condition slow her down or affect her education, even as a young adult successfully achieving an Associate of Arts Degree from Harper College.
Those who knew Cathy understood her passion for music, which eventually led her to meet the love of her life, Mark Beckwith, at a rock concert. After their first date in 1996, they immediately knew they were meant for each other. They later married in 2003, and most recently resided in Arlington Heights, IL. Throughout their almost 20-year marriage, they loved nothing more than going to dinner and rock concerts with their friends, especially those of the band, Poison.
Even though Cathy did not have kids of her own, she loved dogs, and Scooby Doo, and always gave gifts related to Scooby Doo to her nieces and nephews. Halloween was always Cathy’s favorite holiday, as she loved dressing up and watching scary movies.
Cathy touched many lives, and always had a big, infectious smile on her face. She will be remembered for being a dedicated, loving wife, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend. Cathy will never be forgotten.
Cathleen is survived by her husband Mark Beckwith; father, Kenneth Kulinski; stepmother, Mary Kulinski; brother, Kevin (Debbie) Kulinski; sister, Deborah (Scott) Fippinger; and sister-in-law, Tiffany Beckwith; nieces, Caitlin, Lillian, and Ruby; nephews, Chase and Dylan. Many cousins, extended family, and so many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sherry Kulinski; and mother-in-law, Sigrid Beckwith.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated to a charity of your choice or to the family.
