Charles W. Brunner

Visitation for Charles W. Brunner, 84, of Palatine will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024, also at the Funeral Home.  The Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Chuck was born on September 24, 1939, in Chicago, IL to William and Leona Brunner.  He passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024.

Chuck, who was born during a time of war, was friendly to everyone and a joy to be around. An avid Cubs fan, he also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  Professionally, Chuck was a delivery driver for Butternut Bread for 32 years.  Additionally, he was a Veteran of the US Army.

Chuck was the beloved husband for 34 years of the late Carol A. Brunner who died on March 29, 2001; loving father of Sue Brunner, Debbie Aguirre, Bob (Lisa) Brunner and Mike Brunner; and cherished grandfather of Jake, Austin, Katie, Liam, Isla, and Clara.  He also survived by his longtime dog, Lucy.
