Charles R. Bitz

Visitation for Charles R. Bitz, 81, of Wheeling, will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  A Prayer Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 11, 2016 also at the funeral home.  An Interment will take place in Palatine-Hillside Cemetery, Palatine.

He was born on October 1, 1934 in Chicago, IL and passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016.

Charles was an Army veteran and retired at age 70 from Runge Paper.

He was the beloved husband of Ann (nee Lazzio); loving father of Joseph C. (Donna), Susan (Jeff) Claver and Lee (Ted) Cudak; grandfather of Cindy (Jason) Austin, Justin (Jillian) Cudak, Jason (Allison) Cudak, Jonathan Cudak, Thomas Claver and Sara Claver; great grandfather of Autumn and Kayla Austin; brother of John (Emily), Nels (Cheryl), Raymond (Billie); dear uncle of several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters Judy Brown and Nellie Snow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to the American Diabetes Association, 55 E. Monroe St., S-3420, Chicago, IL 60603.
