Visitation and Funeral Services for Christopher Richard Cline, 69, of Inverness since 1989, will be held Friday, January 14, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Willowcreek Community Church, 67 Algonquin Road, South Barrington. The Interment will be private.
Christopher was born December 6, 1952, in Racine, Wisconsin and passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 9, 2022, at home.
Christopher was the beloved husband of Karen Lea Cline (nee Diakoumis); loving father of Bradford (Joana) Studer, Greg (Jamie) Cline, Tammy (Shannon) Ancheta, Krista (James) Saliva and the late Brian Studer; loving grandfather of Haley, Nyssa, Javan, Christian, Kourtney, Caleb, Amelya, Adelyn, Payton, Sydney, Kylie, Lucy, and Everly. He is a dear son of the late Richard and Amelia (nee Miliano) Cline; fond brother of Jeff Cline.
Chris lived his younger days in Des Plaines, Illinois where he went to Maine West High School and graduated 1971. He loved playing on the basketball team and finished his education at Oakton College. He has been an avid fisherman and the proud owner of Cline Printing, Ltd. with over forty years in business.
Chris loved helping people in business, enjoyed playing guitar and loved live music venues. Chris thoroughly valued spending time with associates and friends through work and relished in spending quality time with his kids and grandkids. He was looking forward to warmer days and spending time with family in Texas and Arizona.
He had said he was taught integrity by his role model John Wayne, and he spent time indulging in his movies and books. Chris had an infectious way of making people feel important no matter who they were or what they did for a living.
Chris loved to tease and get a laugh. He was a strong committed Christian and led by example and could always sense when Gods hands at work. Chris firmly believed in giving back whenever he could to church life, as well as many others, and was adored by his family.
We will hold his memory in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to Willow Creek Church.
