Visitation for Clarence G. Sander, 90, of Kingston, Illinois, formerly of Palatine, will be held Sunday, November 9, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  The Visitation will continue Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 200 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine; from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Warren Schilf officiating.  A funeral luncheon will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Church, and family and friends will meet Monday at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, on W. Lake Avenue (Euclid), 1 block east of 294, on the north side of the street, West Northfield Township, for a Committal Service and burial at 2:00 p.m.

Clarence was born December 19, 1923, in West Northfield, Illinois, and he passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in Barrington, Illinois.

In the early 70’s, he was president of the Northwest Towns Sportsman Club, Arlington Heights.  He was an avid carver and model railroader.  He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Genoa, Illinois.

Survivors include his son, Dennis (Sarah) Sander; grandchildren, Matthew (Summer) Sander, Jonathan (Jennifer) Sander, Rebecca (Levan) Sisauri and Emma Sander; great-grandchildren, Hayden Sander, Carter Sander, and Teia, Luka, Sophia and Maia Sisauri; sisters, Jeanette (late Leroy) Grandt and Joyce(late Roland) Runge.

Clarence was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy M. Sander (nee Remus) and his parents, Martin G. and Alma E. (nee Gosch) Sander.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1893, Memphis, TN, 38101-9950.
