Conrad N. Hansen

A Memorial Visitation for Conrad N. Hansen, 82, a lifelong resident of Palatine, will be from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM, with a Time of Remembrances at 12:00 PM (Streaming will be available by visiting https://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/76960) on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  The Interment will be private at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL.

Conrad passed away on August 3, 2022.  He was the son of Gunnar & Erna Hansen both proud immigrants from Denmark.  Conrad was a graduate of Palatine High School and graduate of Northwestern University.  After graduating from college, he took over the family hardware business in downtown Palatine and had a second store in Des Plaines Illinois.  He was an active member of the Palatine Planning Commission for 57 years and a former ­member of the Palatine Rotary Club.

He loved skiing in Snowmass Colorado with his wife and family and could strike up a conversation with anyone on nearly any topic.

Conrad was the beloved husband of Carole Hansen for 55 years; loving father of Heather (Marty) Cain; fond brother of Bonnie Hansen; dear grandfather of Travis and Morgan Cain.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations or contributions be made to The Alzheimer’s Association of Chicago.
