Constance “Connie” Kryckyj

Visitation for Constance “Connie” Kryckyj (nee Hubbard), 75, most recently of Las Vegas, Nevada, will be privately held June 1, 2020 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home in Palatine. The Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Illinois.

Connie passed away Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020 after a brief illness. She recently moved to Las Vegas from Marco Island, Florida with her loving husband John Kryckyj after several decades to be closer to family. In addition to her husband, John, Constance is survived by her brother Wayne (Arlyss) Hubbard of Green Bay, Wisconsin, daughter Kelly (Scott) Keiser of Las Vegas, NV, daughter Kristen Schaffer (Marcus Eberhardt) of Cary, Illinois, stepchildren Jennifer Pantheal, John Kryckyj, JR, and Jason Kryckyj, all of Illinois. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Georgia and Mitchell Keiser, Sam and Penelope Eberhardt, Kane Pantheal and Collin Kryckyj, who were the joys of her life and of whom she was an immensely proud “Grammy.” She was also “Aunt Connie” to numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Constance was born in Stephenson, Michigan to Raymond and Marcella Hubbard, and was the youngest of four children. After high school, she moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she forged lifelong friendships and raised her children before retiring to Marco Island and then Las Vegas. She loved reading, art and nature and always saw the beauty in the world from the calm gulf waters of Florida to the wildflowers of the southwest desert. She was full of wit and wisdom and will be missed terribly by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, P.O. Box 37920, Boone, IA 50037-0920 which was a charity important to her.
