Daniel V. Mccormack

A Memorial Visitation for Daniel V. McCormack, 40, of Wheaton, formerly of Lake Zurich, will be held Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. The Interment will take place on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Fremont Center, on Erhart Road in Mundelein.  The cemetery is on the grounds of the St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church.

Daniel was born April 19, 1981 in Mineola, New York, and passed away on April 27, 2021 in Wheaton, Illinois.

Daniel is the beloved son of Vincent and Maureen (nee Bowler) McCormack; fond brother of Eileen McCormack, James (Evelyn) McCormack, Julie (Marius Bajdechi) McCormack, Laura (Chris) Haerle and Kelly (Matt Connolly) McCormack; dear uncle of James and Abigail Connolly, Caleb and Lucas Haerle, and Nina Bajdechi.

Dan’s nieces and nephews called him the fun uncle.  He loved to spend time with them whether it was building Lego sets, teaching them, or playing video games.  He was a graduate of Lake Zurich High School Class of 1999 and Universal Technical Institute class of 2008 in Diesel and Industrial Technology.  Dan loved to go camping, especially visiting the national parks.  His favorite park was Moab in Utah.  He also enjoyed hiking various trials in the Chicagoland area.  He loved building and collecting all Lego sets from the smallest ones to the most complicated Technic sets.
