Dave B. Anderson

Dave Anderson was born in Chicago on November 26, 1961 to Bruce and Ann Anderson; he died suddenly on May 11, 2015. Dave married Tami Schneider on October 30, 1993 and they had three children; Jeremy (20), Jensen (18), and Josh (14). In 2005, they adopted Jia (11) from Wuhan, China.

Dave was raised in Park Ridge and Plum Grove Estates (Palatine, IL). He was very active in sports and was a member of the Fremd High School varsity baseball and football teams. He was honored all-conference. His sports’ experience taught him teamwork, preparation, and good sportsmanship. Dave attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing.

In 1986, Dave joined the family business as part of the third generation along with his brother Craig. The partnership owns and operates a manufacturers’ representative firm selling high tech electronic components to OEM accounts in the states of Illinois and Wisconsin. As a team, Dave and Craig developed an organization known for its premier performance and sterling reputation in the industry.

Dave’s knowledge and enthusiasm for sports prepared him for youth coaching where he managed Little League teams in their hometown of Lake Zurich. Dave was known by a host of young boys and their parents as “coach.”

Dave was a giving and patient family man. He supported all of his kids and wife Tami’s activities and projects. He taught his children the value of sports as well as setting and achieving personal goals.

Dave was a full-time learner; he sought out new concepts and did so with a smile. His sense of humor and hearty laugh would light up a room.

He was a devoted and loving son to his mother, Ann, who passed away in 2010.

Above all, he loved his children and his wife with all of his heart and his soul. You could not have a better father, husband, and friend. May he rest in peace.

Visitation will be held at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, Illinois on Sunday, May 17, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at St. Francis de Sales Church, 135 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, Illinois on Monday, May 18, at 10 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dave’s name to the charity of your choice will be appreciated.
