David B. Light

A Memorial Visitation for David Bradley Light will take place on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. A Memorial Mass will be said, 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. An Inurnment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Father David Ryan will officiate.

David returned to his Lord on Saturday, October 13th, surrounded by family and friends.

Born in Lake Zurich, Illinois, David was a long time resident of Chicago and, since 2015, Sarasota Florida.

David was loved by many for his friendliness and kindness, and often went out of his way to help others. He possessed a sharp wit and keen sense of humor, was a voracious reader and enjoyed movies and cooking. He loved animals and cared for several cats and dogs throughout his life.

David is survived by his parents Philip Light (Teresa) and Donna Steinmetz (Frank). He is also survived by his siblings Laura Pierson (Stephen) and Larry Light (Kathleen) as well as three much-loved nieces and nephews, Kelsey (Nate), Trent and Lindsay.
