David J. Scharringhausen

Visitation for David J. Scharringhausen, of Palatine, will be held Sunday, July 2, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service, 2:30 p.m. at the Quentin Road Bible Baptist Church, 60 Quentin Road, Lake Zurich, IL, 60047.

A Graveside Service will be held Monday, July 3, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, 610 S. Dundee Ave., Barrington, 60010.  The Reverend Jim Scudder will officiate.

David was born December 16, 1946 in Chicago, and went home to glory, June 27, 2017.

He was the beloved husband of Jane M. Scharringhausen (nee Janecek); dear son of the late Embert and Loretta (nee Gebhardt) Scharringhausen; fond brother of Valerie Tyska; dear brother-in-law of Cherie (late Eugene) LeJeune, Richard Janecek and Marilyn (Ronald) Bock; dear uncle of Shawn (Kim) Tyska, Heather (Marc) Lening, Christine (Sebastian) LeJeune-Elischer, Cherisse LeJeune, Rachelle LeJeune, Jamie Bock and Emilia Bock; and loving guardian of his devoted pup, Murphy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Quentin Road Bible Baptist Church.

David’s passion was to win souls for the Lord.
