David M. Stedman

A Visitation will be held for David Matthew Stedman, 39, of North Barrington, on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Masonic Service, 7:30 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. The Interment will be private.

David was born November 21, 1978 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and passed away unexpectedly, November 19, 2018 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.

He was the beloved husband of Hasna Stedman (nee Osman); loving father of Nicholas, Sami and Reem; dearest son of David and Patricia Stedman and the late Eunice (nee Hamilton); fond brother of Joshua, the late Timothy, Lindsey, Michael, Kristy, and Philip.

David loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was part Cherokee Indian on his mother’s side. David served in the Navy and came from a military family. His father is Senior Chief Navy Retired. His mother and youngest brother were also part of the Navy. David was an exceptional Masonic lecturer. He had a memory that enabled him to learn the blue book word for word. He learned roles, helped in degree work as much as he can both in the Blue Lodge and the Scottish Rite. He was a loving husband and a great father to all three kids.
