Dawn D. Hoofnagle

Dawn D. Hoofnagle, 52, of LakeZurich.

Dawn was born on December 4, 1961 in Elmhurst, IL the daughter of the late Delmar Funk and Dolores (nee: Vuglar) Spencer and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 with her family at her bedside.

Dawn’s faith in God was most important to her.  She was a very active member of St. Peter United Church of Christ in LakeZurich.  Her church family was as if it were her own.  She loved people, cared for others and supported them in any possible way.  “She never met a stranger”

Dawn is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Larry M. Hoofnagle; her very loved daughters Lindsey and Lacey Hoofnagle; her dear mother Dolores Spencer; fond sister Dina (Keith) Colin and nephew Craig Colin.  Dawn was preceded in death by her father Delmar Funk and stepfather Robert Spencer.

Memorial visitation for Dawn will be held on Sunday, May 18^th, 2014 from 3:00PM until 9:00PM at St. Peter United Church of Christ, 47 Church Street, Lake Zurich.  The memorial will service will be held on Monday, May 19^th at 11:00AM at the church with the Reverend Steve Boorsma officiating.  Interment will be private.
