Deborah J. Lutz

A Memorial Visitation for Deborah “Peaches” J. Lutz, 61, of Island Lake, will be on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 11:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Service, 2:00 PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.

Deborah passed away on Monday morning, May 15, 2017 in the loving hands of her family after her long battle with cancer.  Born on June 6, 1955 to the late Richard & Dolores Lutz.  Deborah is survived by her son, Joseph Dolan; siblings, Richard (Patricia) Lutz, Jr., William (Bunny) Lutz, Cheryl Bisbee; and loving companion, Howard Helgesen.

Deborah was an ambassador of unconditional love and happiness.  Her sense of humor was a reminder to always be yourself and to never let a day pass without a smile.  She loved her family, the great outdoors, the arts and all of god’s creatures big and small.  The beach in Door County in particular was a place she looked forward to most every year and held a special place in her heart.

Deborah’s ashes will be spread throughout the peninsula of Door County assuring she’ll never miss a DC sunset.

The family is asking that in Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one of the following nonprofits: The Peninsula School of Art, 3900 Co Rd F, Fish Creek WI 54212; Door County Humane Society, PO Box 93, Sturgeon Bay WI 54235, or lastly to the angels at JourneyCare, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington IL 60010
