Denise L. St. John

Visitation for Denise Louise St. John (nee Desorcie), 95, of Chicago, will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass, 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine, IL 60074.  An Interment will follow in Maryhill Cemetery, Niles, IL.

Denise was born April 21, 1922 in East Highgate, Vermont and passed away September 21, 2017 in Norridge, Illinois.

Beloved wife of the late Cody Herman St. John; loving mother of Paula St. John, Stephen( Michelle) St. John , Mary (Rich) St. John ,Robert (Rosa) St. John, Susan (Kerry) St. John, Denise (Bill) Sharabaika, John (Elizabeth) St. John, and Monica St. John; loving grandmother of 13; loving great-grandmother of 5; dear daughter of the late Clarence and Elodie (nee Boucher) Desorcie; fond sister of Gerard Desorcie and the late Theresa, Claude, Hortense, and Clarence.

Denise was a Veteran of World War II.  She was a First Lieutenant in the US Army Nurse Corp.  She took pride in caring for soldiers.  Fifteen years after separating from the army, she continued her nursing career as a civilian, providing care within the Veterans Administration Hospital, Chicago.
