Dennis P. Turkington

Visitation for Dennis P. Turkington, 63, of LakeZurich for 20 years, formerly of Chicago, will be held Sunday, September 22, 2013, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich.  Father David Ryan will officiate.  The interment will be private.

Dennis was born July 14, 1950 in Evanston, IL and he passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at GoodShepherdHospital in Barrington.

Dennis was a courageous fighter and a great inspiration to all who knew him.  He was known for his huge heart and wonderful sense of humor.  Most of all, his family and friends were everything to him.  He was a lifelong and dedicated Chicago Blackhawks and White Sox fan.

Dennis was the beloved husband of Sandy L. Turkington; proud and loving father of Jonathan Turkington and Ashley Turkington; dear son of Betty Bowlin; fond brother of Jim (Nell), Ken, Kim, Jim, Sue and Mike and the late Lynette, Bill and George; and dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his birth mother, Josie Anzalone and his father, George Turkington.
