Dennis R. Schulmeister

Visitation for Dennis R. Schulmeister, 70, of Island Lake will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich.  Funeral Services will begin, 11:00 AM on Friday, May 26, 2017 also at the funeral home.  The Interment will follow at Lake Zurich Cemetery.  

Dennis was born on August 28, 1946 in Chicago, IL to Lorraine Keller and the late Albert Schulmeister.  He passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017.

Dennis was a published writer and was currently working on his third book.  

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, whom he married May 29, 1976 in Lake Zurich.  He is also survived by his children, Victoria (Bill) Dunaway, the late Carolyn, Jennifer (Steve) Miller, Lisa (fiancée Dave DeBruler) Schulmeister; grandson, James Miller; siblings, Arlene Dost & Karen (Bernie) Salzinger, and numerous nieces and nephews.
