Diane V. Boxleitner

Diane Vivian Boxleitner (nee McMahan), of Palatine, IL passed away peacefully at the age of 93, with her family by her side on March 27, 2024.

Diane was born on January 10, 1931, in Harvard, IL. She met the love of her life Cliff Boxleitner in 1948 and they married in October 1949. They raised their four children in Mt. Prospect, IL with Diane working as a school administrative assistant in Des Plaines, IL. One of her greatest joys in life was spending summers with her family at their cabin on Lac Courte Oreilles lake in Hayward, WI. Diane became an accomplished artist, and her paintings are proudly displayed in the homes of all family members.

Diane is survived by her beloved husband Cliff to whom she was married for nearly 75 years; her loving children Bruce (Verena), Terri (Tom) Buel, Sandie (Jim) Bobus and Nancy (Kevin) Jachec; cherished grandchildren Sam (Andrea), Lee, Michael, Rebecca (Ken), Tim (Rayna), Emma (Connor), Jesse, Justin, Maggie, Jack, Emily and Ryan; dear great grandchildren Lulabelle, Ace, Ivy, Scarlett, Ever and Liv.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Keith McMahan.

A Celebration of Diane’s Life will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Palatine, 123 N Plum Grove Rd, Palatine, IL, on April 20, 2024. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, The Arthritis Foundation or the First United Methodist Church of Palatine are appreciated.
