Donald F. Gibson

Donald F. Gibson will be honored with a remembrance gathering beginning at 9:00AM on Saturday, March 19, 2016 continuing until the time of the Memorial Mass, 10:00AM at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine, with a memorial luncheon to follow.  The Interment will be private.

Don passed away peacefully on March 5, 2016 at the age of 86, at his home in Palatine, IL where his family had gathered.  He was born on March 2, 1930 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Raymond “Bud” and Helen (nee Weitzel) Gibson.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elaine Gibson; his children, Wayne Gibson, Stephen Gibson, Elizabeth (John) Schneider and Timothy Gibson; grandchildren Sara and Tyler Gibson; great grandson Marcus Fletcher; siblings Raymond (Grace) Gibson and Katherine Gibson; preceded in death by his beloved sisters, Shirley Brells and Barbara Crawford and their husbands.
