Donald P. Vogeler

Visitation for , 82, of Palatine, will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, September 8, 2017 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  On Saturday, September 9, 2017 family and friends will meet at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 200 N. Plum Grove Rd., Palatine, where the Visitation will continue from 10:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:30 AM.  An Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.  

Don was born in Hammond, IN on May 11, 1935 to George and Katherine Vogeler.  He passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017.

Don has been a very active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church since 1952.  He was a member of Rejoice Singers, the Glory Four, and he was a passionate woodworker.     

Don is survived by his beloved wife, Irene Vogeler of 61 years.  He is also survived by his children, Keith (Lynn), Kevin (Laurie), and David (Jan); ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and sister, Kathy (the late Bill) Poggensee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials, in Don’s name, may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
