Donald R. Sprandel

Memorial Visitation for Donald R. Sprandel, 77, of Palatine for 50 Years, will be held Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service, 4:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Palatine, 123 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine, IL.  The Reverend Michael Morris will officiate.  The Interment will be held prior to the Memorial Service, Thursday, 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, 610 S. Dundee Avenue, Barrington, IL.

Donald was born July 26, 1937 in Chicago and he passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 8, 2014 at his home.

Survivors include his children, Gary (late Stacey) Sprandel, Terri (Anthony) Olhava, and Scott (Susan) Sprandel; grandchildren, Barbara and Laura Olhava and Bridget, Nora and Paul Sprandel; and his sister, Dorothy (late Fred) Putz.

He served in the Air National Guard prior to careers in construction and the Palatine Park District.  He enjoyed music, movies, family and friends.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Lynne J. Sprandel (nee Hayes); parents, Elmer and Lucille (nee Austin) Sprandel; and his siblings, Elmer, Shirley, Larry, John, Ralph, Charles, Dale and James.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the first United Methodist Church of Palatine.
