Doreen Adele Glasenapp

A Memorial Visitation will be held for Doreen Adele Glasenapp, 71, a 42 year resident of Palatine, on Friday April 25, 2014 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  A Memorial Service will take place at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 200 S. Wille Street, Mount Prospect on Saturday April 26, 2014 at 11:00AM.  The Interment will be private.

Doreen was born on April 18, 1943 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Lowell and Agnes (nee: Mathison) Berg and passed away Friday, April 18, 2014.  She is survived by her loving daughters Erin Grindle and Kristin (Patrick) Glasenapp-Damm; her cherished grandchildren Gabrielle and Ethan Grindle and Cameron and Logan Damm; her dear nephews Lowell and Michael (Stacy) Berg.  Preceded in death by her brother Robert Berg.

Doreen was a 1961 graduate of ProspectHigh School.  She went on to receive her RN License in 1965 from IllinoisMasonicHospital in Chicago.  Doreen was a longtime member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Mt.Prospect and also Christ Lutheran Church of Palatine. Doreen gave of herself throughout her life, volunteering, sharing, loving and caring for others.
