Doris E. Herlihy

The visitation for Doris E. Herlihy, 75, a resident of Palatine since 1972, will be from 3:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  Services will begin with prayers at 9:30a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2014 also at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine, for the Funeral Mass at 10:00a.m.  The Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Doris was born on March 13, 1939 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Anton Lange and Hedwig (nee Schroeder) Lange-Susralski and passed away early in the morning on Thursday, October 30, 2014 with her family at her bedside.

Prior to Doris’s retirement she had worked for more than 20 years at Palatine High School as a hall monitor.  Doris was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.

Survived by her beloved husband of 54 years Timothy P. Herlihy; loving children Brian Herlihy, Sheryl (John) Morines and Shannon Gray; cherished grandsons Timothy (Klare) and Max Morines; also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her brothers Arnold and Clarence Lange.
