Dorothy L. Carponelli

Funeral Services and Interment for Dorothy L. Carponelli, 90, of Rolling Meadows, will be private.

Dorothy was born on August 14, 1930 in Chicago, IL and passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 in Arlington Heights, IL.  She is the daughter of the late Salvatore and Marie (Giunta) LaMantia.

Dorothy will be greatly missed by her large extended family and friends and will be fondly remembered for a love of crochet, bingo and reading.  In addition, she will be affectionately called to mind for her delicious Italian cookies and the beautiful afghan blankets which she lovingly crocheted for every birth and special occasion.

She is survived by her son, Andrew (Jane) Carponelli; grandchildren, Andrea (Travis) Griffin, Steven (Melissa) Carponelli and Anthony (Lauren) Carponelli; and great grandchildren, Addison, Willy, Andrew, Anthony, Brooklyn and Emma.  Also surviving is her brother, Carl (the late Vivian) LaMantia.

She is preceded in death by her husband Andrew, her sisters, Marie (the late Harold) Crawford, Theresa (the late Ernest) Paolini and her brother, Salvatore.
