Dorothy M. Zaruba

Visitation for Dorothy M. Zaruba, 76, of Lake In The Hills, formerly of Palatine will be from 2:00pm until the time of Services at 6:00pm, Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home  201 N. Northwest Hwy.  Palatine.  She will also lie in state on Monday, December 16, 2013 from 10:00am until 11:00am at the funeral home.  At which time a procession will commence to St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine for the Committal Services.

She was born October 25, 1937 in St. Paul, MN.  Dorothy received her Bachelor’s Degree at St. Catherine’s University in St. Paul. MN.  She continued to pursue her passion for art through her many paintings and as a volunteer at the Art Institute of Chicago.

She was the beloved wife of the late Donald V.; mother of Maggie (David) Villwock, Stephen, Thomas (Tammy) and Katie (Rick) Tomasiewicz; grandmother of Alex (Elizabeth), Ben and Abbey Villwock, Michael, Eric (Samantha Reid), Matthew and Andrew Zaruba; great grandmother of Rori Reid.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to Susan G. Komen For The Cure.
