Edward D. Reed

Services and interment for Mr. Edward Dunham Reed, 92, a resident of Lake Zurich since 1993 formerly of Winnetka, will be held privately.

Edward was born on March 17, 1923 in Evanston, IL the son of the late Edward Frederick and Helen Marie (nee Wilcox) Reed and passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015.

Ed was a WWII Army, Air Force Veteran.  Prior to retiring at the age of 86 he had worked for more than 20 years for Osco Drug.

Survived by his beloved wife Pamela A. Whitenack: devoted children Scott (Marcy) Reed, Sandy (Jennee) Reed and Kimberly (Jim) Rehling; daughter in law Deborah Reed; cherished grandchildren, Cody, Kylene, Garrett, Griffin, Nigel and Miranda Reed, Ashley and Payton Rehling; preceded in death by his first wife Jean (nee Weilbrenner) Reed and a son Bruce Reed; also surviving are all the members of the Whitenack Family who loved Ed dearly and will deeply miss him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials, in memory of Ed, would be appreciated for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
